#Care4Us was born out of changing the stigma around the importance of maintaining mental health. As more technology enables instantaneous communication and being “on-call” 24 hours a day, research has found that this increase in technology consumption is making mental health a necessary practice for everyone.
Why is mental health now important for everyone? Almost every aspect of our lives is permeated by digital technology. It can be challenging to take a break and pull yourself away from your phone or laptop to notice the world around you. This is why maintaining mental health is now moving toward mental fitness for everyone.
During the month of May, which is Mental Health Month, join the #Care4Us campaign to help change the narrative around mental health and mindful living.
Click “Make This Pledge” above to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and and their mission to build better lives for Americans affected by mental illness. All donations will be matched by iDEAQUEST.co (up to $500) through May 31st . You can pledge to donate as little as $0.10 to NAMI every time someone uses the hashtag #Care4Us on Twitter, and specify your donation limit (i.e. up to $25).
NAMI is an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.
Offered in thousands of communities across the United States through NAMI State Organizations and NAMI Affiliates, our education programs ensure hundreds of thousands of families, individuals and educators get the support and information they need.
NAMI shapes national public policy for people with mental illness and their families and provides volunteer leaders with the tools, resources and skills necessary to save mental health in all states.
Our toll-free NAMI HelpLine allows us to respond personally to hundreds of thousands of requests each year, providing free referral, information and support—a much-needed lifeline for many.
Public awareness events and activities, including Mental Illness Awareness Week and NAMIWalks, successfully fight stigma and encourage understanding. NAMI works with reporters on a daily basis to make sure our country understands how important mental health is.
